Microcement is durable and easy to clean. With a few simple rules, the surface keeps its look for years.
Everyday cleaning
Clean with water, a neutral detergent and a soft cloth or mop. As there are no grout lines to collect moisture and dirt, the surface stays clean for longer.
What to avoid
- Abrasive sponges and steel wool.
- Harsh chemicals, bleach and acidic cleaners.
- Prolonged contact with staining liquids such as wine and coffee – wipe up spills promptly.
In the bathroom
After a shower, ventilate the room, and in hard-water areas dry the surface so that no limescale marks remain.
Floors
Place felt pads under furniture legs and a doormat at the entrance – sand and small stones act like sandpaper.
Countertops and furniture
On kitchen countertops and islands, use trivets for hot pans and a chopping board – that way the surface stays flawless.
Refreshing the protective varnish
With heavy use, the protective varnish is refreshed every few years. If the surface looks dull or is harder to clean, it is a sign that a new coat of varnish is due.
