Bathroom with microcement – seamless walls, floor and a countertop with a stone basin

Why microcement in the bathroom

Microcement is a thin decorative coating – just 2–3 mm – applied by hand in several layers and then sealed. The result is a monolithic surface without a single joint.

What we cover in the bathroom

  • Walls up to the ceiling
  • Floor, including the shower area
  • Niches, shelves and boxed-in cisterns
  • Around baths and built-in elements
  • Microcement countertop and basin made to order

The area to cover is the floor plus the walls up to the ceiling – the calculator works it out automatically from the length, width and height.

Bathroom microcement questions

Can microcement be applied over bathroom tiles?

Yes, if the tiles are firmly bonded and have no voids. We clean them, fill the grout lines and prime, then apply the microcement – no demolition and no construction waste.

Can the whole shower area be microcement?

Yes. We apply it over a waterproofing membrane and seal it with polyurethane varnish, so the shower walls and floor become waterproof. It also works for walk-in showers without a tray, sloped towards the drain.

How long does a microcement bathroom take?

It depends on the area and the condition of the base. Each layer needs time to dry, so you get an exact schedule after the site visit.

Is the bathroom floor slippery?

On request, the finishing varnish for the floor and shower can have an anti-slip effect. We will show you samples during the site visit.

How do you clean a microcement bathroom?

With water, a neutral detergent and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive sponges and harsh chemicals – that way the surface keeps its look for years.
